Don’t Waste Your Life

Have you ever wanted something so badly that you couldn't wait to have it? That's exactly how the Prodigal Son felt. He asked his father for his inheritance early because he wanted complete freedom to do whatever he liked.

At first, everything probably seemed exciting. He had money, freedom, and lots of friends. But it didn't last. He spent everything on careless living and eventually found himself alone, broke, and feeding pigs—a job no one would have wanted.

One important lesson from this story is that God's timing is always better than rushing ahead on your own. Just because you want something now doesn't mean you're ready for it. Loving parents don't give their children everything they ask for immediately. They wait until they're mature enough to handle it. God does the same because He loves you.

The Bible says the Prodigal Son wasted his "substance." That wasn't just about money. When we make wrong choices, we can also lose our peace, confidence, good reputation, and sense of purpose.

Another powerful lesson is to pay attention to the people you spend time with. Your friends influence your decisions, your habits, and your future. If your closest friends are leading you away from God, they're also leading you away from the amazing future God has planned for you.

The good news is that no matter how far you've gone or how many mistakes you've made, God never stops loving you. When the Prodigal Son came home, his father welcomed him with open arms instead of rejecting him.

God is waiting for you in exactly the same way. You can always come back to Him, and He will forgive you and help you start again.
